Technoorg Linda
Technoorg Linda Ltd is operating in several fields of Nanotechnology. The main activity of the company is developing and manufacturing of ion technology based instruments for extended use in specimen preparation and depth profiling connected to transmission- and scanning electron microscopy. These products are fully compatible with all brands of electron microscopes and cover the entire range of the thinning process from mechanical sample preparation to ion milling and end-polishing. The applications are suited for many purposes in the fields of materials research, geology, semiconductor and optical industry, like multi-layer systems, semiconductors, diamond, composite materials, metals, ceramics, glasses, rocks and minerals. Our customers represent the complete spectrum of end users of material science instrumentation typically found in industrial, governmental and academic research departments and laboratories. The Technoorg Linda brand name is recognized throughout the leading scientific community and has been synonymous with high-precision instruments and world-leading quality of end-polishing. Applications of laser light scattering form a heavy focus point too. The first liquid- and airborne particle counters have been developed for a mobile environmental laboratory in 2003 enabling full size-range and shape monitoring of the particulate matter in the ambient air. (For more information visit also www.envitech.hu ). The latest development of these instruments is the Dual Wavelength Optical Particle Spectrometer – DWOPS. This device – using two laser sources and four detectors – is suitable to measure solid or liquid particles of aerosols, in particular their concentration and distribution of size. Thanks to new sampling and data processing techniques measuring and display of results takes only a few seconds. These data can be used to determine the source of the different aerosol particles and the origin of subsequent fractions. Consequently applications are as wide as environment management, toxicology, healthcare, pharmacology. |
Beyond the measurement of air pollution, Technoorg Linda is involved in investigations of the health effects of aerosols. Development of the stochastic lung deposition and clearance model and its use for analysis of health effects of inhaled aerosols are in the centre of these efforts. The model has been successfully applied for the quantification of deposition distribution of inhaled radon progenies, glass fibers, rubber dust, urban aerosols and nano aerosols in the human respiratory system. In addition, it is suitable also for the optimization of the breathing mode and particle properties of therapeutic drugs. For monitoring nano particles during industrial processing – like composit materials, ceramic powders, paints – the Nano LDA (Laser Doppler Anemometer) has been developed to measure particle size and velocity – in the range of 50 – 500 nm , resp. 0.01 – 200 m/sec – and also the concentration of the different sizes.
